A key feature of any jukebox is the ability to create and manage playlists. Video eDJ shines here as well. There are several options for creating playlists, needed to Auto DJ.

The main screen of Video eDJ. Below are the explanation of each panel or features.
  1. CPU usage
  2. Current computer time in 24-hour format. Click it to change to 12-hour (AM/PM) format.
  3. Library Navigation panel.
    1. Search – click to move the cursor to the search field and start typing.
    2. Double Arrow (UP / DOWN) – scrolls through the library one page at a time
    3. Single Arrow (UP / DOWN) – scrolls through the library one song at a time
    4. Add To Playlist – Add the highlighted song(s) to the playlist on the right side (panel 5)
    5. Play Now – Play the selected song in the library navigation immediately. If in Auto DJ mode, Auto DJ will turn off.
    6. Folder Navigation
      1. Up Arrow – scroll one folder up
      2. Expand/Collapse – if there is sub-folder, expands or collapses the folder
      3. Down Arrow – scroll one folder down
  4. Video / Music Library panel – displays the music collection. Bright white colour when focused, displays the Artist, Title, Tune Length and BPM column. Upper right corner shows the number of files in the current folder. Upper input field is for searching tunes. Lowest “Current Folder” indicate the currently displayed folder name.
  5. Playlist Order / Playlist Panel – Displays artist and title column. Drag and drop the tunes here. Upper tunes in the list gets played first. Drag and drop tunes with in the panel to change order. Already played tunes will be automatically removed. Total Track length is the estimated playing time of the tunes currently in the playlist.
  6. Playlist Navigation panel
    1. Auto DJ – click this button to start smart Auto DJ mix. Blinks when smart Auto DJ is engaged.
    2. Double Arrow (UP / DOWN) – scrolls through the playlist one page at a time
    3. Single Arrow (UP / DOWN) – scrolls through the playlist one song at a time
    4. Remove – delete the selected tune from the playlist
    5. Play Now - Play the selected song in the playlist immediately. If in Auto DJ mode, Auto DJ will turn off.
    6. Shuffle Playlist – click to shuffle the playlist, click again to re-shuffle.
  7. Transport Panel
    1. Light Blue Circle – selected video transition. Click the circle to change the video transition.
    2. Active EQ – Low, Mid and high EQ to set the bass, middle and treble equalizer.
    3. Main Volume Fader – default setting to 50%. Use to adjust the volume of the master output.
    4. Transport Control – Rewind, Play, Pause, Stop and Forward currently playing tune.
    5. Song Title & Position – displays the Artist – Title of the currently playing tunes. Song position is graphically displayed, click anywhere in the song position to forward or rewind, displays the time elapsed and time remaining. Blinks during the last 30 seconds.  Displays the song BPM and Key as well.
    6. Small Video Display – shows the video of the currently playing tune. The spectrum level on the left and right of the videos shows the volume level of the currently playing tune.
  8. Show Video – click to change the display to Video Mode.
  9. TV Display – click to turn the video display on/off. Blinks when TV Display is on. Displays the video on the 2nd monitor or LCD TV.

The Video and Transport screen of Video eDJ. Below are the explanation of each panel or features.
  1. Video Screen – currently playing video tune. The same video is displayed in the 2nd monitor or LCD TV if Video eDJ is connected via VGA or HDMI connector.
  2. Auto DJ Type – click to display various smart DJing options.
  3. Transport Panel
    1. Light Blue Circle – selected video transition. Click the circle to change the video transition.
    2. Active EQ – Low, Mid and high EQ to set the bass, middle and treble equalizer.
    3. Main Volume Fader – default setting to 50%. Use to adjust the volume of the master output.
    4. Transport Control – Rewind, Play, Pause, Stop and Forward currently playing tune.
    5. Song Title & Position – displays the Artist – Title of the currently playing tunes. Song position is graphically displayed, click anywhere in the song position to forward or rewind, displays the time elapsed and time remaining.   6. Sonic Visual – click to display sonic visual. Great if the playing tune is an mp3 and has no video. Automatically display if the current song is non-video music tune. Blinks when active.

Pricing

$599 per month (minimum of 6 months lease)

It’s a reasonable investment for a fun and profitable return!

If you’ll pay $200/night for a DJ on Fridays & Saturdays, four weekend in a month, $200 x 8 = $1,600/month.
Multiply that for 6 months, $1,600 x 6 = $9,600

With Video eDJ, it will only cost you, $599 x 6 = $3,594
